Hiring the table

Sutton Village Hall has a Cornilleau Sport 100 indoor table tennis table that is available to everyone to use in the hall. For Sutton residents, the use of the table, 4 bats and balls is free and hiring the hall is £8 per hour.

For non-residents of Sutton, it's £10 per session to hire the table, bats and balls plus £11 per hour to hire the hall.

Bats and balls can be obtained from the Lettings Officer when collecting the hall keys.

Setting up the table

The table is kept in the store room at the back of the hall. It is easily wheeled into the main hall, unfolded and kept securely in place using its inbuilt locking mechanism. An adult must supervise any children in doing this to avoid fingers getting trapped as the table is heavy.

Solo practice

For anyone wanting to practise on their own, the table can be partially unfolded so that one half is horizontal and the other half remains vertical as shown in the photo. In this way, you can practise your shots without needing anyone else to play with.

We plan to offer table tennis taster sessions in the coming weeks for those who'd like to try out the equipment or try out their skills against others. Please watch this space for further details!
