Sutton duck race 2025

1500 tickets are available for sale this year from some members of All Saints Church, from Potton BP Garage and before the race on the day at Sutton Ford. Tickets will also be available at the plant sale at the Old Rectory, Sutton SG19 2NB 10am-4pm on 17th and 18th May where you can enjoy a ploughman's lunch or cream tea in beautiful surroundings and see the garden railway too!
Each ticket is £1, is uniquely numbered, and corresponds to a likewise numbered yellow plastic duck.
The first four ducks with purchased ticket numbers to cross the finish line under the Sutton Packhorse Bridge will win the four prizes of £150, £75, £50 and £25 in finishing order.
The decision by the organisers of the winning ducks is final and non-negotiable.
The winners will be announced on the day at the end of the race and they will be contacted if not present. The winning numbers will be posted on the Sutton Village Hall website.
Race attendees are advised not to enter the water at Sutton Ford as it is slippery and may contain germs. While every effort is made to clean the ford prior to the race to make it not slippery, the organisers cannot be held responsible for injuries resulting from slips, trips and sickness as a result of entering the water.
Should the race not take place for any reason beyond the control of the organisers the purchased tickets will be put into a lottery and four numbers drawn at random. The winners will be contacted and the winning numbers will be posted on the Sutton Village Hall website.
Proceeds from the sale of tickets are divided equally between All Saints Church and the Sutton Village Hall charity.
