08-Sep-12: Sutton 'Jubilee ladies' photo wins first prize at Potton Show
Strictly speaking this is not committee news but we didn't want this to go unnoticed and hence we decided to post it on here. A photo from our Sutton 'Jubilee ladies' was entered in category 302 (Jubilee photos) at this year's Potton Show and to our delight it won the first prize in this category. It really is a lovely photo that captures the atmosphere of the day. By looking at the photo it can't possibly go unnoticed how much fun everyone had. Well done ladies.

03-Jun-12: Commemorative tree planted to mark Queen's Diamond Jubilee
To mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee the Village Hall Committee has planted a commemorative tree on the Village Hall grounds. It's a maple tree (Acer 'Crimson King') and we hope that it will like its new home. When you are next at the Village Hall, why don't you have a look at it. Just to mention that we intend to get a nice plaque for the tree. So, watch this space.

05-May-12: Getting ready for summer - New French doors for our hall
As you can see from the photos below, French doors have been installed in our hall. Work is still in progress to add the finishing touches such as steps onto the lawn. Our aim is to have everything ready in time for the Birmingham Conservatoire Folk Ensemble concert on May 26th. We are immensely grateful to the brilliant 'French doors task force' (Derek, Ralph and Gerry). What would we do without our volunteers???
